[Hong Kong, August 6, 2025] — Against the backdrop of increasingly extreme weather, the 12th “Social Innovation Inventor – Conceptual Space Design Competition” organized by the World Green Organisation successfully held its award ceremony last Saturday (August 2). Kin Sang was honored to be one of the sponsors and sent representatives to present awards to outstanding students, celebrating the achievements of local youth in the field of green innovation and technology.

This year’s competition adopted the theme “Innovative Tech Communities,” encouraging local secondary and tertiary students to integrate sustainable development concepts into architectural design and urban planning. The focus was on creating smart city blueprints for Lau Fau Shan and San Tin Technopole. The event was co-organized by the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and supported by the Northern Metropolis Coordination Office of the Development Bureau. Over 300 students participated enthusiastically.

The competition was divided into two categories:

Secondary School Group: Design of smart apartments that combine intelligent technology with comfortable living environments to enhance the quality of life for innovation and technology talents.

Tertiary Group: Design of a digital technology hub integrating smart transportation and community facilities to create a livable innovation-driven smart city.

Students from CCC Kei Yuen College and The University of Hong Kong won the championship in their respective groups. A new “Most Active Participating School” award was introduced this year to recognize schools with the highest participation rates, awarded to Archbishop College, St. Francis Xavier’s College, and Youth College International Programme.

Kin Sang representatives presented certificates of appreciation and took commemorative photos with the winners and guests. We are proud to join hands with various sectors of society to promote environmental innovation and youth development, nurturing future designers and practitioners of smart cities.

Kin Sang remains committed to advancing green technology and sustainable development. We will continue to support forward-looking educational initiatives with social value, working with the next generation to achieve Hong Kong’s 2050 carbon neutrality goal.
